Filler statistics
The most filler-heavy anime, ranked
Every selected series we track, ordered by filler percentage. See which shows waste the most watch time, then jump straight to an episode-by-episode filler guide where coverage is available.
When you search for the most filler heavy anime, what you really want is a number: how much of a series is skippable and how much actually counts. This page gives you that, ranked. Every tracked show is listed by its filler percentage: the share of episodes that are pure filler and safe to skip.
A high filler percentage means a bigger chunk of your watch time is original, padded content. An anime filler list like this one is the fastest way to budget your time: find your show, check its percentage, then open the guide to mark off exactly which episodes you can drop.

How many guides we publish, by confidence tier
Each guide is labelled by how confident we are in its episode flags: baseline, verified, or gold.
- Baseline
- 284 Episode flags from source catalogue data, not yet independently checked against the source manga.
Baseline guides aggregate episode flags from source snapshots but are not yet independently checked against the source manga; verified and gold guides are hand-checked.

Methodology
How these numbers are made
Where the data comes from and what each term means, so you can trust the list.
Data source
Episode data comes from cached catalogue snapshots, with our own curated corrections layered on top. Classifications are computed at build time from the latest snapshot, so what you see is what we shipped, not a live request against the API.
Definitions
A pure filler episode has no corresponding events from the source manga. A mixed episode blends filler with canon material, so it contains something watchable. A recap episode replays earlier events. Filler percentage counts only pure filler episodes; mixed and recap are excluded from the percentage so it reflects only fully skippable time.
A note on honesty
This is not a complete list of every anime ever made. It covers the shows we track on this site. Ongoing series change as episodes air, so their totals and percentages can shift between refreshes.
FAQ
Filler percentage questions
Quick answers to the questions people actually search.
Which anime has the most filler?
Based on the shows we track, To LOVE-Ru leads the list with the highest filler percentage among every series on AnimeExplore. Head to its filler guide for the exact episodes you can skip.
What is a filler percentage?
Filler percentage is the share of a series' episodes that are pure filler: original content with no corresponding events from the source manga. It is shown as a rounded percentage of the total episode count.
How do you calculate filler percentage?
We take the number of pure filler episodes and divide it by the total number of episodes, then round to the nearest whole percent. Mixed episodes (which contain some canon material) are excluded from that count, so the percentage reflects only fully skippable filler.
Do filler percentages change over time?
Yes. Our numbers come from a cached source snapshot, computed at build time. Ongoing anime add episodes as they air, so both the episode totals and the filler percentage can shift with each data refresh.
